Head of Search

POSITIVE is seeking an ambitious and talented search professional, with a strong background in performance marketing, to head up our Search Marketing department. The Search Team of 5 manages PPC, Paid Social and Display campaigns as well as SEO, content marketing and social media marketing, across a diverse client portfolio. The team is also responsible for Web Analytics consultancy and Conversion Rate Optimisation as services, and have developed their own blogger network for outreach.

 

You will be providing leadership for and hands on support within the team in managing a range of very different search marketing projects across clients in multiple sectors. Current clients range from Travel, food and beverage, fashion, charity and many others.

 

Requirements:

  • Strong background in performance marketing, particularly SEO
  • A team player and leader, with proven team management
  • A passion for coaching and developing team members
  • Ambitious, motivated and keen to keep learning and developing

  • Consultative – you will need to build relationships internally and externally
  • Evidence of thought leadership in the search marketing space
  • A well-developed public profile (public speaking, blogs, opinion pieces, etc.)

 

The role:

 

  • Day to day management of strategy across SEO, PPC, Paid Social, Display and Retargeting functions
  • Achieve agreed profitability / client yield / client growth targets
  • Ensure that the Performance Media and Organic Search teams closely collaborate
  • Provide inspirational leadership to Account Managers and Account Execs
  • Lead by example
  • Recruit, train, manage, mentor and motivate team
  • Ensure that knowledge of industry developments and best practice is shared
  • Work closely with HR to ensure that all team members have measurable targets
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, and team meetings with all team members
  • Review existing operational processes
  • Explore opportunities to improve performance and produce a development plan
  • Ensure that all clients have the appropriate levels of contact and account management
  • Ensure that targets, forecasts, roadmaps and development objectives are set for all clients
  • Develop strong relationships with search engine, social and technology suppliers
  • Develop network and provide new business opportunities
  • Regularly contribute to blog articles, white papers
