It’s the day after the night before and the inaugural Hubbub proved to be a huge hit with all attendees. People flocked to the venue from offices just down the road, to Bristol on the other side of the M4 to experience the launch of this new and exciting digital marketing networking event. Hosted at the stylish No. 1 Duke Street, the occasion was a celebration of the digital industry and an opportunity to build new relationships with reputable companies and emerging start-ups alike.
Doors opened at 6:30pm and guests were welcomed at the entrance by a selection of signature cocktails made by mixologist and Angostura brand ambassador – Sean Simon Duprey. The classic ‘Old Fashioned’ was a firm fan favourite! The warm introduction set the tone for the rest of the evening with a relaxed, informal atmosphere perfect for mingling and making new connections. The loud buzz of conversations ranging from recent company acquisitions and potential future business ventures to summer travel plans and the best punk band of the 80’s continued to grow late into the night!
Representatives from a wide variety of businesses including Equinix, a multinational company specializing in internet connection, EBay, the huge e-commerce corporation, and Stopgap, a specialist marketing recruitment agency, all turned up to Hubbub for a good time. During the event, Julian Reiter CEO of Positive Digital, gave a short speech praising the great success of Hubbub and toasted to the prospect of more in the future.
From everyone at Hubbub, we would like to thank you all for coming and supporting us during our debut event and to No. 1 Duke Street for providing such a great venue. We plan to be holding Hubbub quarterly with the next scheduled to be in the summer of 2018. So be sure to follow us on social media for news and updates concerning the next Hubbub. "Thanks for last night. I thought it went well and definitely gives you something to build on. Feedback I got was that it was a really good idea to start a local event like that."
